A bottle blonde friend only wears black and white
Another friend wears all gray to match her thinning hair
I know that simplifies their daily dressing task
But I am not ready for a simple life
I have been a colorful soul for over seventy years
And it ain’t over until a heavenly angel escorts me home
So give me back my rose pink sandals, turquoise leggings, floral coral scooped-neck top, kiwi lime earrings, and rhinestone sunglasses
It’s time to walk my dog again

My mom was always nicely dressed and wasn’t afraid of color – particularly partial to reds and purples. She especially loved wearing big and colorful earrings. Thanks for posting this, as it made me think sweet thoughts of her.
